This was the case at U LOG, where the handling of household appliances imposed considerable physical constraints on operators. Neoditech came up with an ergonomic and innovative solution: the Picking Manipulator, an articulated arm designed to optimize handling assistance and reduce tedious work.
Before the integration of the Picking Manipulator, handling household appliances was a daily challenge for U LOG’s teams. Some appliances, weighing up to 80 kg, required the presence of two operators, slowing down the logistics process and increasing the risk of injury. Working in pairs, while safe, reduced operational efficiency and limited employee versatility. In addition, these physical constraints made it difficult for female staff to access these positions, raising questions of equity and inclusiveness on these missions.
Thanks to Neoditech’s Picking cobot, we’ve been able to integrate female staff into our handling operations for heavy household appliances. The result: improved well-being at work and reduced risk of MSD.
