Janneau menuiserie, a major player in the manufacturing and installation of windows and entrance doors, recently called on Neoditech to improve working conditions at its Loroux-Bottereau site. The company was looking for a solution capable of assisting operators during the handling of joinery units after glazing, as well as during packaging and palletizing operations. These operations, previously carried out entirely manually, heavily exposed teams to fatigue, back pain and musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), especially when handling joinery units weighing up to 80–90 kg.

Before the integration of an assisted solution, Janneau menuiserie operators manually carried out all phases of gripping, moving and palletizing the joinery units.
The heavy weight of the products and the repetitive nature of the movements led to:
daily muscular fatigue,
back and shoulder pain,
a high risk of injury,
a gradual decrease in working comfort.
Site managers were therefore looking for a solution capable of reducing physical strain, securing handling operations and standardizing movements, while maintaining a high level of fluidity in the production line.
To meet the specific constraints of Janneau menuiserie, NEODITECH designed a handling solution that is both versatile, robust and easy to use. The solution chosen was a SCARA TITAN manipulator arm combined with a custom pneumatic gripper, capable of adapting to all joinery configurations produced on site.
The objective was clear: to allow operators to handle all types of joinery with a single tool, without changing grippers or making complex adjustments. Whether curved or straight joinery, small or large formats, with assembled sash and frame or only one of the two elements, the gripper ensures a reliable, balanced and secure grip.
Thanks to its specific design, the pneumatic gripper adapts to the different geometries of the joinery while ensuring excellent stability during lifting, moving, packaging and palletizing phases. The SCARA TITAN arm offers smooth movement and consistent precision, allowing operators to position joinery units effortlessly, even with loads close to 90 kg.
This custom solution provides essential flexibility in a production environment where references and dimensions constantly vary. It also helps secure operations, limit strenuous movements and significantly improve working comfort, while maintaining an efficient production pace.
From the moment the SCARA TITAN manipulator arm was commissioned, feedback from Janneau menuiserie teams was unanimous: fatigue significantly decreased and working comfort greatly improved.
